All Star teams are made up from players from the Junior and Prep divisions to play one final game for the season. The purpose of the All-Star games are to provide incentive to players during the regular season to work hard and to practice in efforts to be one of the selected players from their team. The All-Star game is a method of recognizing the hard work of these players throughout the season in a fun and exciting way.
- The number of players selected per team and number of All Star teams will be determined by the Washington Baseball Board of Commissioners.
- Managers from the various teams will make up the coaching staff for All Star teams.
- The All Star selection process is based upon manager preference:
- Players may be selected solely by the team manager.
- Players may be selected by a vote of their teammates.
The process that Washington Baseball endorses, but does not enforce, is as follows:
- Manager creates a voting ballot with all team players’ names.
- Ballots are given to players one week prior to the last game.
- Manager encourages parents to discuss with their child what qualities make an All-Star (ie: hard work, skill & ability, good attitude, etc.)
- Manager announces the teams selected All-Stars during final game wrap-up.
